Art of Conversation – The Conversation Plan TM

The art of conversation is alive and well. So we’ve developed our very own tried and tested methodology for helping you master social media and integrating it into your organisation. It’s called The Conversation Plan TM.  We believe that if an organisation manages its own conversations very carefully on social network sites, it can maximise the Return on Investment.  But it doesn’t stop there, as the conversation goes much deeper into the organisation and can ultimately help you manage your teams of people throughout the organisation become more efficient and innovating, engaging staff within the organisation and also reduce your overall marketing costs over time.

We’ve used The Conversation Plan to grow our business without significant investment in traditionally paid for advertising or other media channels.

A wise venture capitalist told me once that a business was “..an aggregate of invoices…”  I carry this thought around with me which helps me to focus that everything we do is about keeping the invoice engine room employed as much as possible.

Having worked in the infancy of eCommerce in 1994 for large national and international companies, I very quickly knew how to use online marketing techniques to win new customers. You could buy your way into customers hearts and minds.

With the web that is now powered by people rather than media companies, you can’t buy your way online any more.  Businesses have to re-discover the art of conversation. This is fantastic news for small and agile  businesses who have regular conversations with their customers. However, this is more challenging for medium to large companies who may need to restructure  or re-skill themselves a little bit. Unfortunately, some companies do not enjoy conversations with their customers and may not understand why their customers have left them.

The social media tools available  give you an opportunity to enjoy a conversation with either an existing customer or a new customer. Some customers become so fanatical about you that they will help you find other customers for little reward.
