Pete Doyle, Founder & Director

Pete is an experienced eCommerce  & Marketing Manager for large national and international retailers such as Waitrose, M&S, Thorn EMI, Hamleys, Toys R Us and Direct Wines. He has always been at the forefront of online projects and developments since 1994 for these companies helping them to exploit ecommerce and online marketing opportunities.

In 2006, Pete successfully  raised £1m venture capital for a startup online health and safety business and was the CEO for 2 years. Pete could see the impact social media would have on every organisation and in 2008  set up SocialNetit.com, one of the first dedicated social media training  and consultancy companies in the UK.  Pete volunteers as an Enterprise Judge at the Henley Business School / University of Reading Annual Student Enterprise Awards. Pete describes his company as a ‘client side’ company,  this means he can offer a highly personal and bespoke service for his clients where other larger companies are not able to.

Pete’s ‘social retail’ blog is ranked no 1 on google.com out of 350million web pages. He started blogging in 2008 around the latest developments in retailing online.  Pete uses twitter and other social media in innovative ways  and enjoys sharing his first hand experiences in his training and consultancy projects.  He uses social and web technology to gain new customers, set up online communities, sell out live music events and local marketing.

Pete has a network of social media trainers and consultants and gathers the appropriate people together for each bespoke project, as required. This helps to keep the project overheads to a minimum and also ensures the projects are delivered on time and on budget.
